Dr. Jatinder Singh Bal is a distinguished researcher, acclaimed author, educator, and seasoned administrator in the field of Computer Engineering. With a wealth of experience, he joined the Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies (GNI) in 2022 as the Director of Operations, bringing his expertise to drive excellence in the institution.

Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. and MTech degrees in Computer Engineering, specializing in Wireless Network Security, from the Punjabi University, Patiala. Over his extensive career, he has amassed 25 years of experience encompassing industry, teaching, research, and administrative roles.

As a prolific author, Dr. Singh has contributed significantly to the field of Computer Engineering. He has published over 250 research papers in esteemed International and National journals, solidifying his reputation as a leading scholar. Moreover, he has authored 22 highly acclaimed textbooks and research books that are recommended as essential reading in universities across India and beyond.

Dr. Singh’s contributions extend beyond his own research endeavors. He actively participates in professional scientific organizations, including the ISTE, CSI, and IETE, as a life member. He shares his knowledge and expertise by delivering lectures at various academic institutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

In addition to his role as an author and educator, Dr. Singh serves as the chief editor of international journals focused on Network Security. His meticulous reviewing of research papers for esteemed journals, such as ACM, IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and others, demonstrates his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of scholarship and research.

Dr. Singh’s remarkable contributions have garnered numerous accolades and awards both nationally and internationally. He has been recognized as the “young and dynamic Vice Chancellor of the country (India),” received the Best Research Scholar Award by India’s University Grant Commission, and has been honored with the Excellence Service Award by the Punjab Government. His dedication and expertise have also earned him the Vigyan Ratna Award from the Honorable Governor of Punjab and the Bharat Gaurav Award from the All India Technical & Management Council (AITMC), New Delhi.

As a mentor and supervisor, Dr. Singh has guided and supervised twelve Ph.D. candidates and eighteen MTech candidates in the specialized field of wireless network security. Currently, he is overseeing the research progress of six postgraduate candidates, shaping the future of research in the field.
