Dr. Singh began his teaching career in the Department of Laws at Punjabi University, where he served as a faculty member from 1978 to 1995. He played a pivotal role in shaping the legal education landscape and imparting knowledge to aspiring law students.
As a testament to his expertise and leadership, Dr. Singh served as the founder Director of the Army Institute of Law, Patiala, from June 1999 to June 2000. He also served as a Professor and founder Head of the School of Legal Studies from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, he held the positions of Director at the Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus in Jalandhar and Principal at Khalsa College in Amritsar from 2005 to 2014.

Additionally, he has served as a member of the Senate of Sri Guru Granth Sahib University, Fatehgarh Sahib, and the Governing Council of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala.
