He has been recognized for his exceptional work in investigative journalism, environment and business reporting, sports coverage, and feature writing. Starting his career with The Tribune, the oldest and largest circulated English daily in North India, in 1976, Prabhjot worked for the publication in various capacities for nearly forty years.

Currently based in Toronto and Chandigarh, Prabhjot Singh serves as a Media Consultant. Throughout his career, he has also been associated with renowned news agencies such as Reuters, as well as media houses like PTC News (India/Canada), Parvasi Media (Canada), and the Liberal World (India). His contributions have been featured in international and national newspapers, magazines, and journals, reflecting his wide-reaching impact.

Prabhjot Singh’s journalistic endeavors encompass diverse subjects, including business and financial markets, the health industry, public and private sectors, aviation, politics (covering Sikh and Punjab politics), and the Indian Diaspora, with a particular focus on the Sikh Diaspora. He has extensively covered seven Olympics, providing valuable insights into the world of sports.

Prabhjot Singh’s exceptional investigative journalism has garnered numerous accolades. In 2012, he was honored with the International Press Institute’s prestigious special investigative journalism award for his groundbreaking series on the exploitation of public transport by influential politicians. He has also received several other awards and honors in recognition of his excellence in journalism and his efforts in uncovering flaws in governance and civic affairs. Notably, his investigation of the assassination case of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was acknowledged by India’s top judicial body, the Supreme Court.
