Position Overview:

The RISE (Research Innovation Sustainability Engine) Center of Excellence at Guru Nanak Dev Global University invites applications for a faculty position in Sustainability Studies at the graduate level. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum innovation, and engage in interdisciplinary initiatives aligned with global sustainability frameworks and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level courses in Sustainability Studies and related interdisciplinary areas.
• Integrate global perspectives on sustainable development into curriculum design and classroom instruction.
• Develop and regularly update course content to align with UNESCO frameworks and all 17 SDGs.
• Mentor graduate students and support academic, research, and outreach activities of the RISE Center.
• Participate in institutional seminars, workshops, collaborative projects, and community engagement initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

• Postgraduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of UNESCO initiatives and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills demonstrated pedagogical expertise, and experience in curriculum development.

Compensation Salary is competitive and negotiable, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.
