Flower Mound, Texas— Guru Nanak Dev Global University (GNDGU) and Parul University (PU) have formally entered into a consultancy agreement to jointly develop a groundbreaking academic offering titled “Certificate in World Literature for the Sustainable Development Goals – 17 Goals. 4 Languages. 1 Planet. Your Voice.” This unique certification program is designed to blend global literature, cross-cultural dialogue, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into an integrated academic learning experience.
As part of this collaboration, Dr. Digvijay Pandya, Professor and Dean at Parul University, has been appointed as the Lead Consultant for academic review and quality assurance. Dr. Pandya brings extensive expertise in literature, curriculum design, and interdisciplinary pedagogy, contributing essential leadership to the development of the program’s eighteen-course structure.
The program’s curriculum, which spans literature from multiple global languages, will produce all academic materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, digital content, assessments, and specialized literature lists. Dr. Pandya will provide academic oversight by reviewing each course, evaluating content quality, ensuring alignment with SDG themes, and strengthening OBE and NAAC compliance.

Dr. Digvijay Pandya shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “The intersection of world literature and sustainable development opens a transformative academic space. With this initiative, GNDGU and Parul University aim to set a new benchmark for interdisciplinary, globally conscious academic programs that prepare learners to be culturally literate, socially aware, and ready to engage with global challenges.
