A new international cinematic initiative, SHER-E-HIMALAYA – ZORAWAR SINGH: The Lion of the Himalayas, is inviting actors, historians, artists, cultural communities, families, institutions, entrepreneurs and supporters around the world to participate in the creation of an ambitious AI-powered historical feature film about General Zorawar Singh.
The project seeks to bring one of the most remarkable military journeys in Himalayan history to a global audience through a combination of historical research, cinematic storytelling, artificial intelligence, digital character creation, virtual production and traditional filmmaking techniques.
The film will follow Zorawar Singh’s extraordinary journey from his early life and rise as a warrior to his campaigns across Jammu, Kishtwar, Ladakh, Baltistan and Tibet, culminating in his final campaign and enduring legacy.

⚔️ NOT JUST A MOVIE — A LEGACY PROJECT
The story of Zorawar Singh crosses modern political and geographic boundaries.
His campaigns touched regions corresponding to today’s:
India • Pakistan • Ladakh • Jammu & Kashmir • Baltistan • Tibet/China
The film therefore aims to present the Himalayan frontier as a complex world of warriors, rulers, merchants, monks, soldiers, families and ordinary people rather than reducing history to a simple hero-versus-villain narrative.
The filmmakers intend to distinguish between documented history, historical reconstruction, composite characters and dramatic invention wherever appropriate.
