Punjab stands at an important crossroads.

Its greatest challenges – water, agriculture, youth migration, employment, health, drugs, governance, technology, language and heritage, are deeply interconnected.

The VIRSA Punjab: From Challenges to Change Webinar Series brings together scholars, practitioners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, young people and members of the global Punjabi diaspora to explore these challenges through five interconnected Schools:

LAND • PEOPLE • SPIRIT • FUTURE • CULTURE

Over 25 webinars, the series will examine 25 core challenge areas, moving from understanding the challenge to exploring practical ideas, research opportunities, community action and possible solutions.

Every two weeks • Saturday • 8:00 PM IST

October 2026 – September 2027

WHY VIRSA Punjab: From Challenges to Change Webinar Series?

VIRSA is built around the belief that understanding heritage means understanding not only where we came from, but also who we are, where we live, how we live together and what we create for future generations.

The webinar series takes that philosophy into the present.

Each conversation asks:

What is the challenge?

Understanding the issue through evidence, experience and research.

Why does it matter?

Connecting the issue to Punjab’s people, communities, economy and heritage.

What can we learn?

Bringing together knowledge from Punjab and the global Punjabi community.

What can we do?

Identifying practical opportunities for research, innovation, entrepreneurship and community action.

What should Punjab’s future look like?

Moving the conversation from problems to possibilities.
