Guru Nanak Global Foundation (GNGF) has officially launched the RISE (Radical, Innovation, Sustainability & Entrepreneurship) Program for high school students, marking a significant milestone in preparing the next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers.
The Foundation has partnered with RD Khosla DAV Model Senior Secondary School, Batala, to introduce the inaugural cohort of 50 students, who will embark on a transformative learning journey focused on future-ready skills, innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership, and experiential learning.

First Cohort of 50 Future Leaders
The RISE Program has been designed to bridge the gap between traditional classroom education and the competencies required for success in higher education and the rapidly evolving global workforce. Through interactive sessions, real-world projects, mentorship, and exposure to emerging technologies and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), students will develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Speaking on the launch of the program, Dr. Bindu Bhalla, Principal of RD Khosla DAV Model Senior Secondary School, said:
“The RISE Program is already making a meaningful impact on our students. We have witnessed greater enthusiasm, increased participation, and a noticeable improvement in students’ confidence and curiosity. The program encourages them to think beyond textbooks, explore innovative ideas, and develop the skills needed to succeed in the future. We are proud to partner with Guru Nanak Global Foundation in bringing this unique opportunity to our students.”
Baljit Singh, Chairman of Guru Nanak Dev Global University and Guru Nanak Global Foundation, emphasized the importance of preparing students for a rapidly changing world.
“The future belongs to young people who can innovate, collaborate, and solve real-world challenges with purpose and compassion. Through the RISE Program, we are creating opportunities for students to develop these capabilities at an early stage. Our partnership with RD Khosla DAV Model Senior Secondary School represents the beginning of a broader movement to empower school students with future-ready skills while nurturing responsible global citizens committed to sustainable development.”

The Foundation plans to expand the RISE Program to additional schools across Punjab and India, building a vibrant network of schools dedicated to innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership, and community impact. By connecting academic excellence with experiential learning, the initiative aims to inspire students to become lifelong learners and contributors to society.
