The RISE (Radical Innovation, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship) Program, launched on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab, is redefining the purpose of higher education. More than a program — it is a movement to empower students to think boldly, innovate responsibly, and solve meaningfully.
The RISE initiative recognizes that the world doesn’t just need more graduates — it needs change-makers equipped with the mindset and skills to address today’s most urgent global challenges. Anchored in the spirit of Guru Nanak’s teachings of compassion, equality, and service to humanity, the program transforms education into a platform for sustainable impact.
Learning Reimagined: From Classrooms to Real-World Change
Unlike conventional programs focused solely on theory, the RISE Program challenges students to engage directly with real-world problem statements aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — from poverty eradication and climate action to gender equality and sustainable cities.
Through the Blue Belt – Certification in Innovation, students identify global problems, apply design thinking, and choose an idea that resonates with their personal purpose. They learn to innovate using sustainable design, technology, and human-centered solutions.
In the Gold Belt – Certification in Entrepreneurship, these same students evolve from thinkers to doers. They develop prototypes, design viable business models, and present their ventures to potential investors through the Sustainable Venture Lab. Selected projects receive incubation and investment support — ensuring ideas are not just imagined but implemented.

Global Collaboration is now Open!
Partnership for the RISE Global Cohort is now open to universities worldwide. The program invites academic institutions, industry partners, and global organizations to collaborate in co-developing solutions that address real issues in sustainability, technology, and inclusive growth.
The RISE framework is designed to nurture innovation ecosystems that extend beyond classrooms — integrating sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship into every level of learning and leadership.
