Dr. Gurbakhsh Singh Bhandal is a distinguished academician, scientist, author, and thought leader with over 45 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and literary contribution.

He is currently serving as a Professor of Physics at Cleveland State University, Ohio, USA (since January 2016). Prior to this, he taught for 33 years in various prestigious government colleges in Punjab, India, including as Head of the Physics Department at N.J.S.A. Government College, Kapurthala, and Government College, Ludhiana.

- M.Sc. in Physics (2nd Position in University), Punjabi University, Patiala (1977)

- Author of 25 published books — 5 on scientific awareness and environment (including Nuclear Bomb to Nuclear Medicine, also published in Lahore) and 20 literary books in Punjabi (including the acclaimed long poem Zindgi).

- Regular contributor to Punjabi newspapers and literary magazines.
- Recipient of the prestigious Shiromani Punjabi Sahitkar Purskar (Parvasi) awarded by the Language Department, Government of Punjab.
