On Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2026, Baljit Singh, Chairman and Founding Member of Guru Nanak Dev Global University (GNDGU), Flower Mound, Texas, delivered a powerful pledge to the world — reimagining Dr. King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech for today’s youth and the generations to come.
Standing in unwavering resolve, Mr. Singh recited an original poem that has already begun resonating globally:
I have a dream
where education is no longer a transaction, but a transformation; where young souls are not molded into followers, but ignited as institutions of courage, compassion, and justice.
I have a dream… that every student who walks through the doors of Guru Nanak Dev Global University emerges carrying UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals in their heartbeat; global skills in their hands, and the fire of Miri-Piri in their spine.
I have a dream… of 100% employability not as a statistic, but as a living promise: that no mind trained here will ever stand idle, because they have been taught not just to find jobs, but to create value, solve suffering, and lift humanity.
This is my dream. Today it is mine and tomorrow it will be yours.
Let the world say it is impossible. Let the numbers say it is difficult. Let history say it has never been done. You answer with action, with unwavering faith, with Miri-Piri in every breath.
My dream is alive! And because I dare to dream it so fiercely; it will not remain a dream forever.

In a profound demonstration of his personal commitment to this vision, Mr. Singh has either closed or is in the final stages of closing his personal business venture, Ajuba, to dedicate himself fully to the mission of GNDGU. Guru Nanak Dev Global University (GNDGU), a Guru Nanak Global Foundation Initiative of Flower Mound, Texas, USA proudly announces the launch of the PurePlanet Innovation Quest, a pioneering global initiative under its Research, Innovation, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship Centre of Excellence (RISE CoE).
As the world grapples with escalating environmental crises – including record-breaking temperatures, widespread air and water pollution, land degradation, and biodiversity loss – the PurePlanet Innovation Quest emerges as a beacon of hope and action. This dynamic program invites innovators, researchers, students, and changemakers worldwide to develop breakthrough, scalable solutions restoring purity and resilience to our planet’s core elements: clean air, pure water, healthy land, and a stable climate.
Harnessing creativity, advanced technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Quest addresses interconnected challenges head-on. Participants will engage in a structured multi-year journey, featuring 18 specialized course modules on Sustainability, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. A unique multi-tier certification system awards progressive “belts” – Green for Sustainability knowledge, Blue for applied innovation, and Gold for entrepreneurial excellence.
Students select problem statements from key tracks: Clean Air & Climate Resilience, Pure Water Restoration, Healthy Land & Zero-Waste, Cross-Element Synergy, and Enabling Innovation. Over 3 or 4 years degree programs, they build ideas through coursework and workshops, receive mentorship from industry experts, pitch to investors, and – in the final year – develop functional prototypes.
