Guru Nanak Dev Global University (GNDGU), a Guru Nanak Global Foundation Initiative of Flower Mound, Texas, USA proudly announces the launch of the PurePlanet Innovation Quest, a pioneering global initiative under its Research, Innovation, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship Centre of Excellence (RISE CoE).
As the world grapples with escalating environmental crises – including record-breaking temperatures, widespread air and water pollution, land degradation, and biodiversity loss – the PurePlanet Innovation Quest emerges as a beacon of hope and action. This dynamic program invites innovators, researchers, students, and changemakers worldwide to develop breakthrough, scalable solutions restoring purity and resilience to our planet’s core elements: clean air, pure water, healthy land, and a stable climate.
Harnessing creativity, advanced technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Quest addresses interconnected challenges head-on. Participants will engage in a structured multi-year journey, featuring 18 specialized course modules on Sustainability, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. A unique multi-tier certification system awards progressive “belts” – Green for Sustainability knowledge, Blue for applied innovation, and Gold for entrepreneurial excellence.
Students select problem statements from key tracks: Clean Air & Climate Resilience, Pure Water Restoration, Healthy Land & Zero-Waste, Cross-Element Synergy, and Enabling Innovation. Over 3 or 4 years degree programs, they build ideas through coursework and workshops, receive mentorship from industry experts, pitch to investors, and – in the final year – develop functional prototypes.
